Wedding Planning Guide

Cabo Wedding Transportation for Guests

Almost every guest at a Cabo wedding lands at the same airport and needs to reach the same hotels and the same venue. This guide explains how airport transfers, hotel-to-venue shuttles and late-night returns are planned for weddings in Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo and Todos Santos, and what you need to decide and when.

Airport Transfers for Wedding Guests in Cabo

Guests fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), north of San Jose del Cabo. From there the drive to the hotel depends on where the group is staying. Private transfers booked in advance replace airport taxis and ride-share apps: each flight is tracked, guests are met at the terminal and the vehicle leaves when they are ready, not when a shared van fills up.

Wedding Day Shuttles from Hotel to Venue

On the wedding day the shuttle plan follows the timeline. Departures are grouped by hotel and timed so guests arrive before the ceremony without a long wait at the venue. Vans seat up to 15 guests, SUVs are reserved for the couple and immediate family, and return trips are scheduled in waves so early departures and late-night guests both have a ride.

The same plan covers the welcome party, the rehearsal dinner and the farewell brunch when the celebration runs across the weekend.

How We Plan Guest Transportation

With the RSVPs

We collect flight numbers, arrival times and the hotel for every guest or couple, and group them by day and time.

When the guest list is final

We confirm the vehicle plan with our partner: number of airport pickups, shuttle departures per hotel and return waves.

On the wedding day

The coordinator on site manages departures with the drivers, so the timeline, the photographer and the ceremony start on time.

Cabo Wedding Transportation Cost

Transportation is quoted per route, vehicle and number of trips, and every quote from our partner includes tolls and tax. What moves the number is the distance between airport, hotels and venue, how many pickup times the group needs, and whether a vehicle waits on site during the event. Hosting guests at one or two hotels close to the venue is the simplest way to keep it low. We include the transportation quote in your Cabo wedding cost estimate, next to the venue, catering and vendor lines.

Our Transportation Partners in Cabo

Airport pickups, hotel-to-venue shuttles and late-night returns that we coordinate for the group are operated by Cabo Black Shuttle, with flight tracking on every arrival. We manage the manifests and the schedule; they put the vehicles and drivers on the road.

When guests prefer to book and pay for their own airport transfer, we recommend AllWays Cabo Transportation: they set up a dedicated wedding page for your group where each guest enters their flight and hotel, every reservation lands on one master schedule shared with us, and pickups move automatically with flight tracking. Their fleet covers the couple and bridal party too, from premium SUVs to Sprinter vans and limousines, with pricing per vehicle per run rather than per person.

Cabo Wedding Transportation FAQ

How do wedding guests get from the airport to the hotel in Cabo?+
We recommend private transfers booked in advance instead of airport taxis, especially for groups arriving on different flights. Our transportation partner tracks each flight, meets guests at the terminal and drives them to the hotel or venue. Guests only need to send us their flight number and arrival time.
Do you arrange shuttles from the hotel to the wedding venue?+
Yes. Hotel-to-venue shuttles are scheduled around the ceremony time, with departures grouped by hotel. Vans seat up to 15 guests and SUVs are reserved for the couple and immediate family. Late-night returns are scheduled so guests can leave at the time that suits them.
How much does wedding guest transportation cost in Cabo?+
Transportation is quoted per route, vehicle and number of trips, and every quote from our partner includes tolls and tax. The main cost drivers are the distance between the airport, the hotels and the venue, the number of pickup times and whether a vehicle waits on site. We share the quote as part of your overall Cabo wedding cost estimate.
When should we book transportation for our Cabo wedding?+
We collect flight details with the RSVPs and confirm the vehicle plan once the guest list and the hotels are final. Airport pickups can be added as late arrivals confirm, and the wedding day shuttle schedule is locked together with the timeline.
Can guests rent a car or use ride-share apps in Cabo instead?+
They can, but for a wedding weekend we advise against it. Parking at resorts and farm venues is limited, ride-share pickups are restricted at the airport and at some resorts, and nobody has to drive after the reception. A planned shuttle keeps the whole group on the same schedule.
