When Boston Red Sox star Carson Smith wed his stunning fiancé Brittany this past December, it was all about classic romance, soft lines and plush florals. The native Texans made Cabo’s The Cape the site of their nuptials and, true to form, the luxury location exceeded expectations. Here’s a look at the happenings, the details, and the once in a lifetime moments we can’t get enough of!
While groom Carson might be the one in the public eye, it was our bride Brittany who kept on turning heads. She chose soft waves and a classic center part to highlight her neutral makeup and dramatic lashes. Her fitted white dress featured clean lines, an off the shoulder neckline and traditional button detailing, with modern cutouts providing a nod to contemporary fashion in an otherwise traditional silohette. Strappy stilettos and classic pearl drop earrings completed a look that was timeless and oh so perfect.
The Cape hotel has views of Land’s End to rival Cabo’s best, and so an outdoor, ocean view ceremony was at the top of Carson and Brittany’s must haves. They made it official on the resort’s poolside terrace beneath a simple, wooden arch enveloped in abundant arrangements of soft pastel florals and cascading natural grasses to complement the bride’s willowy, oversized bouquet. Carson and his boys kept things classy in tailored black suits and whiite dress shirts as the two said “Ï do” before an intimate gathering of their closest family and friends. With that said and done, it was time to strike up the mariachi and party on, Cabo style.
Eager to kick things up a notch we moved to the six floor’s Rooftop Bar, where providing guests with that immediate WOW factor was our goal. Dried pampas grasses in pale shades of off white hung from the ceiling above white acrylic imperial tables adorned with black ceramic chargers, gold cutlery and candlelight. Small arrangements of pastel blooms in cut crystal covered our tablescapes, completing a look that was the perfect marriage between timeless wedding romance and today’s more eclectic trends. We can’t enough of Bells and Whistles and Love Daily Designs stationary and signage. From the menus and table numbers to the beautiful seating chart, the shiny black and gold creations provided a touch of the masculine to this wonderfully romantic wedding wonderland.
The remainder of our evening was about fun, friendship and celebration. Signature drinks, A Tutey-Tini and a Mack-A-Rita, were shoutouts to the couple’s favorite canine friends, and Cabo’s more traditional tequila shots were also at the top of the list. DJ Alex Alanis mixed the evenings music, keeping guests on the dance floor with drinks in hand. Fireworks, food, wine, and a myriad of other carefully designed details combined to create a magical evening we hope Brittany and Carson will revisit year after year.
Thank you to the wonderful team at Let it Be and Let it Bloom whose tireless hardwork made this immaculate setup possible. To our newlyweds, we wish you many years of love and laughter. Please visit us soon (COVID permitting!).
